ZWZZY: VOTE
Time to Vote for Favorites. I asked WoodenNickelsJewelry to suggest some finalists we could all vote on. There were quite a few so I decided to post links instead of the pictures themselves. There were So many WONDERFUL entries- I am really impressed with what people come up with.
I have to mention that LuxuryJewelry made a treasury for the challenge that was on the front page. That is pretty much an automatic win- But we still want to vote. Sorry LuxuryJewelry- you can't win the same thing twice.
Here are the options for the vote in alphabetical order:
A Little Light Music at a Somewhat Saucy Soiree from SpareBedroom Studio
An Etsy Sunset from Metroline6
Aquamarine and Dusty Pink from MorningBlossom
Bubble Gum Pink from Shelleanne
Chic In Pink from Blushie
I heart HOT Pink & Hearts from TwillyPop
Pretty, frilly, girly, Zwzzy! from jvdarcy
Something Wonderful from Shelleanne

Congratulations BrokenHallelujah!
One of our team mates, Brandy, from Broken Hallelujah just got married last month! What an exciting time for her. Let's all give her a big Congratulations!!
So, let's get to know Brandy a little more now.
Angie: "Who inspired you to be an Etsian?"
Brandy: "No on in particular. I was first inspired to join Etsy after hearing so much about it on the Craftster.org message boards several years ago. I decided to take the leap and open up my own shop as a way to help pay for my new obsession with crochet."
Angie: "What is your favorite thing about Etsy?"
Brandy: "I love the amazing creativity of Etsy. Pretty much anything you want (and some things you don't) you can find on Etsy. It's so great. Plus it's full of amazingly creative people. I have made so many great friends here. If I ever have to leave Etsy I will miss it terribly."
Angie: "What is your favorite thing in your shop?"
Brandy: "Right now my favorite thing in my shop are my summer melon mary jane slippers.
I love the bright summer colors & the cool freshness of the combination of green & orange."
I agree, I do love these colors!
Angie: "Is there anything else you feel everyone should know about you?"
Brandy: "I guess it would be that I opened & have run my Etsy shop as a full time college student. Now I am entering graduate school as a master's student & hope I will be able to keep my shop open. It was tough & I never had the time I wanted to dedicate to the shop, but I still made it work and I'm proud of being my own business owner while working to achieve my academic goals of becoming a Ph.D. in marine biology."
Wow. That's really amazing, Brandy! If only we all had that sort of dedication. You've done an amazing job with your etsy shop and I wish you all the best of luck with your graduate program.
I have to show a picture now of my favorite item in your shop! I love the flowers on this set.
Brandy has all sorts of great accessories for women. She's even got something for the people like me that already know how to crochet! I wouldn't necessarily buy a finished crochet piece from someone else, but crochet patterns are always an option in Brandy's shop!
I hope you've enjoyed getting to know your Brandy!
Beautiful. (and I love your dress!)

From the FP to the TV: rctees
As small business owners, we'll take what features we can get. The main goal of this team is to promote each other by making FP-worthy treasuries. We get extra excited when our team members are featured in the storque. A couple of us have been (or are going to be) featured in magazines. But can anyone say that we've had our work featured on TV? Before long, one of us will be saying so.
Toni at rctees was contacted by Jess Ward, a member of the production staff for the Animal Planet and member of the Etsy community since 2009, about the Abby Cat tee. She was looking for unique cat shirts on Etsy for the host of a new Animal Planet series Must Love Cats.
At first, Toni was a little skeptical. This is completely understandable whenever someone contacts you asking for samples in order to be featured. (I immediately went through a phase of doubt when Vogue Knitting contacted me.) But she did exactly what she needed to do, which was research who was contacting her and find information to back up that their request was legitimate. She eventually had a real time phone conversation with Jess and knew it was all real.
So she sent shirts, merely hoping the host would choose to wear them. In June, she received a message from Jess telling her that John (the host) wore the Abby Cat shirt and wanted to know if there were MORE colors because he liked the design so much! So Toni gladly sent another color.
NJ Wheelock, one of the artists that John interviewed while wearing the Abby Cat tee, contacted Toni just a few days ago with photos from the shoot. John also contacted her to let her know that some of the photos from the shoot were up on the Must Love Cats facebook page. The episode that the Abby Cat tee was featured on was filmed in Catskill, NY, and features the Catskill Cats.
We are all proud of Toni and are quite anxious to see her shirt on TV! Toni says about the experience, "I’m still in the 'pinch me' stage, and my emotions are just all over the place. This is one of the most exciting things that’s ever happened to me and my husband, Mark. It’s one of those surreal experiences that lets you know that what you’re doing is so worth while."
The Abby Cat tee is set to make its debut on Episode #6 of Must Love Cats series that starts airing in January 2011 on Animal Planet.
Be sure to "like" RCTees on facebook and check out the entire Abby Cat line in her shop. You can also follow her on twitter for more updates!

Saturday Challenge: Outdoor Summer
So the Saturday Challenge never got posted- how could I forget this? Today we will see two challenges.
SATURDAYS CHALLENGE: Outdoor Summer
I got this idea from the etsy merchandising trends from July. "Alfresco Living and Home: Industrial vintage and reproduction furniture, decor, and interiors. Think farmhouse, countryside, the French flea market and galvanized metal, as well as market baskets and totes, bikes and bike imagery, picnics and flea market finds, and components to create "the outdoor room."
there are so many different ways to interpret this- good luck!

Vote for the GlitzGlitter winners
That beautiful necklace from GlitzGlitter was on the front page. Twice. I guess that actually means I've picked item from her shop that have gotten her featured on the front page four times now. But if you look at CraftCult GlitzGlitter has a pretty impressive front page record.
and it is no surprise- her photos are BEAUTIFUL.
To Sacredsuds and PluckingPendants: Congratulations on your front page treasuries- with the challenge- that is a super win.
Finally we will vote on which of the two we like best for the Ultimate Treasury winner. I can also send them a certificate in the mail for their greatness.

PluckingPendants Takes the Team to the Front Page!
EllaBelleBoutique Blog Feature!
Hello team! This week, we get to find out a little more about our last treasury challenge winner, EllaBelleBoutique. Jessica won the Twilight Treasury Challenge with her beautiful Love is Eternal treasury. Although she is not a Curation Nation member, she has had fun participating in our great challenges! Way to inspire other Etsians!
Anyway, let's get to know a little more about Jessica.
Angie: What is your favorite thing about Etsy?
Jessica: The friendships I've made and the interesting people I've met. There are so many amazing people out there with such diverse talents!
Angie: What is your favorite thing in your shop?
Jessica: It's a toss-up between my Jane Austen items and my Avonlea items. I LOVE to read, so it's been really fun to create jewelry that embodies the thoughts and feelings I have while reading great literature.
Anyway, let's get to know a little more about Jessica.
Angie: Who inspired you to be an Etsian?
Jessica: All my life, I've been lucky to be surrounded by strong women who love to create beautiful things. Naturally, I've developed a love of creating as well. When a friend of mine told me about Etsy, I was basically in awe. A place where literally millions of handmade lovelies could be found? Yes, please! I couldn't wait to join.

Jessica: My most favorite things that I've created (but that aren't for sale in my shop) are my three sweet kiddos. They are my biggest fans. They fill my days with craziness, and they even let me make jewelry once in a while :)

SATURDAYS CHALLENGE: Life is A Carnival
you can interpret that as the little carnival in your town with dinky roller coasters. Those are the only kind I like to ride, by the way. Also on my honeymoon I was in Venice over Carnival. It was actually an accident but a crazy spectacle of an accident. I liked it a little.
