Talkin' Tuesday - Meet Lauren from FlashForward!

Here are 9 Fierce Facts about Lauren and one line is completely fictional.  Get involved by guessing which one of the 10 items listed below is the impostor. Put your comments below and Lauren may be around on Twitter so you can poke at her for some hints!  The fictional statement about Lauren will be posted next Tuesday when I feature the next CN Teammie. See below for the false fact about last week's featured teammie, Shelley.

1.  I graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN.  I studied Music Business there and loved it!
2.  I love the Harry Potter series, so much so that I took a course on it in London and went all over England and Scotland to filming locations and places connected with JK Rowling.
3.  I play violin and guitar and am in a band called The Restoration (http://therestoration.net/ and http://facebook.com/therestoration).
4.  I love living in South Carolina because I'm a short drive from both the mountains and beaches.  I get the best of both worlds!
5.  I have 2 sweet cats, 3 fish, and am an aunt to my brother's adorable boxer.
6.  When I lived in Los Angeles, I once waited for an elevator with Matthew McConaughey, Steve Zahn, and Clive Owen.
7.  One of my favorite photography subjects was baby loggerhead sea turtles hatching and crawling to the ocean.
8.  I was born on Christmas Eve.  My family has always been great about keeping the holidays separate.  Absolutely no Christmas wrapping paper allowed for birthday presents!
9.  My favorite tv shows include The Twilight Zone (the original, of course!), Gilmore Girls, Freaks & Geeks, Arrested Development, and Lost.
10.  I love working in my yard.  I especially like to grow basil, lavender, tomatoes, and any and all flower.

Hello, lovely Curation Nation teammates!  I'm Lauren Garner and I run Flash Forward Photography.  I was so honored when I was invited to join this wonderful team last summer (has it really been that long?) and I'm so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful group of talented and creative people!  I look forward to continuing to get to know each of you better and I can't wait to put your fantastic items in my treasuries and see what marvelous treasuries you create!  Cheers!
*******Last week's false fact about Shelley from EvenAndy was this one: #8: I played the flute in my high school marching band.

  1. Ohhh, look at that lil cherub face on Lauren! My mom was born on Christmas Eve and we were NEVER allowed to use any Christmas wrapping paper either! I wish you lived closer, we could have a Twilight Zone/Gilmore Girls/Lost FEST together! Gee, I like you even more knowing how much we have in common. I just adore using your nature inspired work in my treasuries. Thank you for being a CN teammie - - I'm so glad you're with us!

  2. Yet another adorable team member, I love getting to see and meet everyone this way!!

Well I'm batting 0 with this fact game, but you don't mention any fish in your profile so I'll go with #5.

  3. It is nice to meet you Lauren! I am going to guess that #2 is false. I think that you love Harry Potter but I am not sure that you took a course.

  4. Hi Lauren, great to "meet" you! Love the photo and the fact your an Aunt to a boxer, how cool!

My boyfriend is from South Carolina (Orangeburg) and seeing your amazing photos remind me of our fun visits to the Carolina's.

I'm thinking #6 is false, but what an elevator that ride that must have been if it's true!!

  6. Lauren, You are so creative and talented in so many areas! Love your artistic eye in your photographs! Since I know you it wouldn't be fair for me to say which one is not true....everything on your list is possible!

  7. Hi Lauren! Such an adorable photo :D

First off, I'm gonna guess that the elevator thing isn't entiiiiirely true. I don't see how it is physically possible to be in the same enclosed space with Mathew McConaughey & Clive Owen without sniff-ravaging them & perhaps an innocent nipple tweak or two? Maybe that's just me.

So I'm guessing that it was just Steve Zahn & you were daydreaming it was the other two? ;)

Keep up the great work, awesome teammie!

  8. So many good guesses...hmmm, which one could it be? haha. Yvonne, it would be so much fun to have a CN tv fest! Anna - Orangeburg isn't far from me! They have a gorgeous rose garden there!
It's great to "meet" all of you! :)

  9. Hi Lauren! So neat that you went to school in Nashville (if that's actually true. haha). A good friend of mine is at Belmont now and loving it.

I'm going to guess 4 is wrong...maybe you don't like living in SC! haha

  10. Hi Lauren!! So nice getting to know you better!! Hard to pick, but I think #9 is not true!!

  11. Lauren, I can tell you're being tricksy here! I just read through your profile, and you've added little extras to each one for this, so it's so hard to figure out! I was going to say that you don't have any fish, but I think I'm going to have to agree with Stacey about the elevator. I think you might have spontaneously combusted if that had happened. If I'm wrong, I think you should write a blog post for us about what that elevator ride was like!

It's great to learn more about you :-) I grew up in Savannah, GA and went to school in Athens, and we did a lot of camping around SC and TN. You make me miss the area so much!

  12. *Waving* Hey Lauren...love the photo with your neph-dog....too cute!!

I'm really bad at this too!
You have so many interesting things about you...it's really hard to figure out which one is false...I too am going with #5...I think you have no fish (but do have two cats ; )

Looking forward to finding out the truth!

  13. Oh man these are always so hard! Okay I think #2 or #6. You don't live anywhere near London so it's hard to believe you went there just for a course BUT maybe you did live there at some point. #6, you say that you waited for an elevator not rode in one. If I was waiting for an elevator with those three I would have gotten in and rode to whatever floor they were going to, haha! It seems a bit strange that they were all waiting together unless this was on three separate occasions. Very trixy!

Okay there's my deep analysis for you, lol!

Great to learn more about you. I love these Talkin' Tuesdays!

  14. This is a tough one!

I'm at a total loss. Maybe you never lived in L.A. and never waited for the elevator. ?

    ReplyDelete
  15. haha, you are all right about one thing - I did make this tricky! Since it's Monday I'll go ahead and admit a few things. Waiting for the elevator with those 3 actually happened. I did a semester in LA and one of my courses was taught by a guy that was also an entertainment reporter. Therefore, we'd usually meet at whatever hotel he was at - he would go to all the press junkets to interview celebrities. Matthew McConaughey & Steve Zahn were there to be interviewed for Sahara and Clive Owen was there for Derailed. My professor had already interviewed all of them so we had some friendly chit chat and then away they went. Trust me, it took every ounce of self control I had not to drool and tackle them to the ground! ;)

Also, I do in fact have 3 fish! Sometimes more, sometimes less...but right now there are 3 swimming around my aquarium!
