Talkin' Tuesday - Meet Stephanie from LaCocoRouge!

Here are 9 Fierce Facts about Stephanie and one line is completely fictional.  Get involved by guessing which one of the 10 items listed below is the impostor. Put your comments below to test your sleuthing skills!  The fictional statement about Stephanie will be posted next Tuesday when I feature the next CN Teammie. See below for the false fact about last week's featured teammie, Anna.

1.  I have lived in seven different countries and traveled extensively all over the globe - but was not a military brat!

2.  I love archery, throwing knives and opening beer bottles with a lighter.  I also enjoy playing poker and have earned the moniker Summer Wildcard.

3.  One of my favourite moments in life was in the Red Sea off the Sinai Peninsula.  While snorkeling with my high school Oceanography class on a class trip there was a section of coral you had to swim over for hundreds of feet.  Once my friend and I hit the wall, which was a drop off of maybe 60 feet - for as far as the eye could see was blue, blue ocean and hundreds of pink jellyfish.  They were not dangerous and we swam amongst them.

4.  I like to play with fire!  One of my hobbies is performing as a fire dancer, vaudevillian and side-show artist.  My favourite act was dreamed up by my friend Wil where I fire hula-hoop on top of him or Charlie, wearing heels and balancing on a double stack of a bed of nails which they are squished between...tricky!

5.  When I lived in Australia our school had a program called Extreme Adventures!  We traveled to Antarctica for a week to study penguins.  My favourite penguin was Louie because he liked to play fetch and a loose version of soccer which was really passing the ball back and forth.

6.  I learned to ride horses by the Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza.  I also learned how to fall off horses.

7.  I have swum in the waters at the Costa del Sol in El Salvador, sunk my toes into a black volcanic sand beach and picked up fossilized sea shells by the dozens in the Rub al Khali in Saudi Arabia.

8.  I broke my face once while skateboarding on concrete in winter.  I landed the trick unexpectedly and slipped, my face hit the concrete first and the rest of me after.  I could touch my cheekbone and feel pieces of it moving around, I had a black eye and my teeth were loose for a while.

9.  I work for a Tibetan monastery and program tours for the monks to share and preserve their culture through art, music and dance.

10.  My most precious treasure was my black and white kitty named Spaz.  His favourite pastime was chewing bamboo (panda in disguise), he liked to wag his tail (he really was a dog), and when he passed away from cancer a few of my dearest friends built a viking bonfire sent away for him and hosted a party in the backyard.

*******Last week's false fact about Anna from CreatureCollars was this one: #3: I grew up an only child; however I always thought it’d be fun to have lots of brothers and sisters!  Actually Anna is one of 6 kids.

  10. What an incredible life you've had so far!!
I'm guessing none of the above, I don't believe your real name is Stephanie, that's just for covert ops!

Everything in your life seems to be an adventure!

  12. Wow! Amazing! A fire eating, monk seeking, world traveling cat lover. .. where do you find the time for hat making and taking over the world?

    Truly inspiring!

I'm going to guess randomly. Maybe Louie the penguin did not pass the soccer ball back and forth. Maybe ... it's possible.. you never even met Louie at all. Who knows. As you have shown, anything is possible!

  17. Like everyone else, I am totally in awe at your life and the countries you had been through! How I wish I was in your shoes! (or heels) I wanna go Sinai Peninsula and find that spot you are talking about :D

It's a tough choice on which one to pick!! My guess is either 9 or 5, but I think I'll go with #5 hahaha. Difficult to imagine that a school would send students to Antarctica.

  19. Stephanie, I have a belly dancing friend (who helped inspire one of my soaps, actually), and you and she we get along FAMOUSLY. I'm going to guess that there's not actually a fetch-playing penguin in Antarctica. It seems like one of the last wild places. I wish we were closer so we could watch you dance!
